Lululemon Sample Sale

Two million Instagram followers world wide, yoga pants that have a near-legendary status and now a sample sale: there are plenty of reasons to love Lululemon this week.

We're warming up so we can run, run, run to the three-day sample sale at The Music Room, Bond Street, which starts on Thursday. At one of our favourite venues for well-organised, civilised sample sales, you can pick up some high-tech exercise gear for bargain prices from Lululemon. Look out for jackets that conceal emergency hair ties, leggings that eliminate the risk of camel toe and ponytail-friendly hoods.

The Canadian brand sells top-notch yoga clothes and running gear for both men and women. Inspirational messages are part of the package when you visit the stores or follow the Instagram. They even have a special blue bus for 'meditation on the move' that they can roll out for special events.

Where other athletic brands are falling in value, Lululemon reports profit after profit. It's secret? We think it's the quality product, and the fact they practise what they preach. The brand appoints ambassadors to give exercise a real, flushed face and you can attend their in-store 'sweat with us' exercise classes. Drop in on Regent Street on Sunday morning for complimentary yoga on the first floor.

When you're done at the sample sale it's just a 12-minute walk (a five minute jog?) to the Marylebone High Street store, just in case you haven't found what you're looking for. This season you can go a little darker with burgundy and berry shades. Look out for their long-sleeved running tops with built-in hoods to keep your hands from freezing on chill morning runs.
