London's finest art inspired menus
Culture Whisper rounds up the best cocktails, dishes and special one-off menus, paying homage to London's jam-packed Summer Art Season. It launches with aplomb at the end of June with Masterpiece London and Mayfair Art Weekend.
Brown's Hotel, is celebrating Mayfair as a cultural hub with a contemporary art gallery private tour led by Maeve Doyle and 3 course lunch at their new Heinz Beck Italian restaurant on Saturday 30 June. It is a chance to see the dazzling re-design of the room by Olga Polizzi. She has created a botanical utopia with Florentine chandeliers and contemporary friezes, plus significant art from the Brown's private collection.
The tour commences at 10.30am in The Library of Brown's and takes in Thaddaius, Ropac, Richard Saltoun and Maddox galleries with curated talks at each, plus the opportunity to make prints at Maddox gallery.
Heinz Beck has a world renowned 3 Michelin star restaurant at Rome's Hilton Cavalieri hotel. His menu for Brown's is more informal yet highly creative. Specialities include spaghetti cacio e pepe with langoustines, red mullet 'sandwich' with black olives and tarragon and affogato tiramisu
A specially concocted cocktail will also be on offer for a limited time only in the spirit of the Artini created for the first Mayfair Art Weekend.
