London's finest art inspired menus
Culture Whisper rounds up the best cocktails, dishes and special one-off menus, paying homage to London's jam-packed Summer Art Season. It launches with aplomb at the end of June with Masterpiece London and Mayfair Art Weekend.
StreetXO, Mayfair’s avant-garde restaurant created by 3 Michelin star Dabiz Munoz of DiverseXO in Madrid is partnering Mayfair Art Weekend. Chef Munoz has created a seven-course menu designed to stimulate, entice and surprise.
The menu including Pekinese dumplings, ‘Steamed XO Club Sandwich’ and ‘Cheesecake ice cream’ is on offer from Wednesday 27 - Friday 29 June at a cost of £90.00
On Saturday 30 June, there's a one-off Mayfair Modern Art and Lunch touring some of Mayfair's most prestigious contemporary art galleries followed by lunch at StreetXO.
Hosted by John Martin, owner of John Martin Gallery and co-founder of Art Dubai, the tour commences at 10am in The Academicians’ Room at The Royal Academy of Arts for refreshments. First stop is Stephen Friedman Gallery for its exhibition ‘Talisman in The Age of Differences’ curated by Yinka Shonibare MBE, followed by a showing of David Nash’s sculpture at Annely Juda Fine Art. The tour will culminate at Maddox Gallery with a talk delivered by James Nicholls, Managing Director of Maddox Gallery, art critic for London Live TV and Royal Academy of Arts Patron.
Lunch includes a cocktail, a seven course 'journey of the senses' lunch and a glass of wine.
