Over a series of three evenings at the bar in One Tower Bridge, the history, production process and tasting notes will be demystified. Guests will learn how the best bottles are made in the DOCG area and gain a sense of different vineyards by sipping through five 50ml tastings. Snacking bowls of parmesan, the traditional snack served in Venetian bàcari, will bring an authentic taste of Italy to SE1.
The producers have been specially-selected to showcase the leading brands and best quality Prosecco makers. First up is Marchiori on 1 October. After a rocky start with tumultuous weather conditions, the producers will punctuate the tastings with insightful details about land, climate and even the affect of the moon.
Then on 22 October the Rivalta producers will reflect on their prize-winning family business and share their quest for giving each bottle of Prosecco a harmonic balance of grapes, earth and sun. Finally on 19 November Cirotto will transport you to the foothills of the Dolomites, where they have crafted fine wine for three generations.
Each evening starts at at 6.30pm and tickets are £20 for Marchiori and Cirotto and £25 for Rivalta.
