Croque Monsieur will lose none of Lost Boy’s unusual style. Guests will be seated on church pews, with an absinthe fountain on each table and Art Deco prints covering the walls. The cocktail menu will include delights such as Death in the Afternoon, a decadent combination of absinthe and Champagne invented by Ernest Hemingway. When you add the fact that all visitors are obliged to wear an ‘Inhibition Hat’ (aiming to get guests to lose theirs), it shapes up to be a very interesting night indeed.
For their soft launch this December, Croque Monsieur is offering tickets to a two-hour absinthe experience, which allows guests to sample any three drinks and a range of snacks (which may or may not feature actual croque monsieurs) ahead of the bar's official opening. So join the Green Fairy and party the night away – just remember to be home before sunrise.
