Alcotraz Penitentiary: Cell Block Six Eight is the latest chapter in the experience's thrilling story. The aim is to smuggle contraband alcohol past the Warden and make your way through the penitentiary to reach a clandestine speakeasy. All guests, or 'inmates', are dressed in orange prison jumpsuits and are given instructions to bring their liquor to the Crooked Guard on the corner of Shaftesbury Avenue and Neal Street. The guard will then supply you with the secret codes needed for your journey through the prison, where you will encounter a shady cast of jail birds and no-gooders who have fallen on the wrong side of the law. When you reach your destination, some of Alcotraz’s finest bootleggers (expert mixologists) will be waiting for you to transform your contraband into criminally-good, bespoke cocktails.
This particular night in the clink might not be a sobering experience, but it's certainly the wacky West End experience giving a theatrical spin to your typical BYOB evening.
