Join us on 11 November for an exclusive tasting event in collaboration with Jar Kitchen. The first restaurant from Lucy Brown and Jenny Quintero, Jar Kitchen has been serving European cuisine made from British ingredients for two years now.
Brown and Quintero pride themselves on their 'farm-to-fork' ethos, making sure customers eat only fresh, seasonal, ethically sourced food. Keen to show you the best of their suppliers, the event will showcase cured meats from Cannon and Cannon, and vodka and cheese from Black Cow. There'll be plenty of tasters, cocktails to order, and the opportunity to buy your own parcels to take away.
Inspired by nomads who make alcohol from Yak's milk, Black Cow's Jason Barber decided to make the most of his farm's grass-fed cows by separating their milk into curds and whey. After some experimenting, he now uses the curd to make Barber's 1833 cheddar, and the whey to create the world's only 'pure milk' vodka. Made from nothing but milk and a special yeast, the lactose-free vodka is wonderfully smooth and sophisticated. And (hallelujah!) the two products work perfectly together. Both vodka and cheese will be available to try and take away.
Cannon and Cannon will be providing the meats. Founded by brothers Sean and Joe, the company has been wowing punters at Borough Market and beyond since 2010. All their meat is made from free range or wild animals (think rabbit, venison, duck, boar, and more) and is absolutely delicious.
With 20 pairs of tickets for members, this exclusive Culture Whisper event is not to be missed.
