October's foodie events to book
From the annual food festival in beautiful Aldebrugh, to drinking Ruinart champagne throughout a 'Reveal the Invisible' meal at 108 Garage and tasting the best oysters – go with the flow this Autumn
Embrace your wild side at a Botanist Gin Forager's Table at The Treehouse in Shoreditch during London Cocktail Week. They've gathered bartenders from the most renowned bars in London: Sager & Wilde, Three Sheets and The Lyan Group to create a three-course cocktail matching wild and foraged gastronomic dinner cooked by brilliant Scottish chef Craig Grozier.
The menu commences with incredible sourdough and cultured butter smoked over wild juniper. There's aged Gigha halibut with elder, goseberry and Winter chanterelle, red deer with spruce, smoky celeriac and pear and a wildly creative dessert of cep, green juniper and preserved damsons.
It is the most delicious pop-up dinners we've experienced all year.
For those seeking a strictly gin affair, The Botanist will also host a series of foraging cocktail masterclasses on Saturday 6th October. Each 45 minute session includes a neat gin tasting, followed by the opportunity for guests to pick their own garnish, and sip on their creations in the Treehouse bar.
