October's foodie events to book
From the annual food festival in beautiful Aldebrugh, to drinking Ruinart champagne throughout a 'Reveal the Invisible' meal at 108 Garage and tasting the best oysters – go with the flow this Autumn
Is this the ultimate culinary-creative collaboration? It is certainly the most decadent and discerning collaboration gracing the capital's dining tables right now.
Ruinart, ardent supporters of visionary artists and sponsor of Frieze, commissioned Chinese artist Liu Bolin, best known for his 'disappearing' photos to work on a series at their Maison de Champagne and vineyards. And, in turn they asked critically acclaimed, hyper-talented Notting Hill chef of 108 Garage to create a menu that would surprise, delight and reveal unexpected ingredients, flavours and textures.
Only a spoilsport would reveal details of the dishes (spoiler if you like scallops you'll be happy). Suffice to say it is a thrilling and delectable experience matched with Ruinart's exquisitely nuanced champagnes.
The dinner is available at 108 Garage on Friday and Saturday evenings as well as for lunch and dinner through Frieze week.
Lunch or dinner package: £360 for two, includes tickets to Frieze
