Not only does Books for Cooks stock 1000s of enticing food books – including food centric novels too – their tiny cafe, which spreads through much of the shop, literally cooks the books.
Each day, there's a 3 course menu served from a cook book chosen by Books for Cooks charming French owner Eric. Often it's a newly published title he's intrigued by that's getting lots of attention, other times, recipes may come from a much loved classic.
It is brilliant value and there's no booking, so arrive early: 11.30am is usually in time to snare a table.
