The best London restaurants from the year so far
The London restaurant scene shows no sign of slowing down. Big name chefs and restaurants from all over the world have their eyes on us.
The places that are serving up the most interesting and inventive food in town right now are not only the high-end, glamour places, though we love Ella Canta, Jean-Georges Restaurant at The Berkeley and ultra-hip The Cub. Small, quirkier finds giving British ingredients the global treatment are thrilling us too.
Here are eight
essential places to try: a mix of those still under the radar and those where
booking well in advance is essential.

Brilliant chef Seb Holmes, who has worked at Peckham’s Begging Bowl and Soho’s Smoking Goat, has a residency at Farang until the end of 2017. Go for fragrant stews like Cornish mussels in a coconut-scented green curry broth, and stay for kaffir lime sours and homemade cashnut praline with green tea ice-cream.
Price: Dinner for two with drinks £80.00
