From the ways in which data can be used to make a hit TV show to the hidden benefits of introversion, TED has challenged our preconceptions one twenty-minute talk at a time.
The annual TEDXLondon, a showstopping, starry event, has already happened in June, and included the likes of Stephen Hawking and Lauren Laverne, but the TEDx program also allows communities to organise their own TED-licensed events. There are plenty of these grass-roots shows coming up over the next few months, some of which might be closer to home. Here's our pick of the best:
TEDxWhitehall
September 21
TEDxCoventGardenWomen
October 29
TEDxClerkenwell
November 9
TEDxCamden
November 13
TEDxTottenham
November 12
