You’ll never see Cinderella told with more charm or ingenuity as the Little Angel’s beautiful puppet show.
The Little Angel Theatre has created some of the most idyllic children’s puppet shows in recent memory; such as Dogs Don’t do Ballet, An Old Man with Very Enormous Wings and Venus and Adonis (in association with the RSC). Now their delightful show Cindermouse returns to the venue for the first time since 2009.
Cindermouse is made to be a servant to Mrs Applecrumb and her two daughters, Melissa and Miranda after her father re-marries. He is a clockmaker who dreams of working in the palace one day so (with the help of a fairy mousemother) the good and kind Cindermouse secretly attends a royal ball on the night of the prince’s birthday, to make sure her father’s beautiful gift of a clock chimes the correct number of times.
The lovingly handcrafted puppets are hugely appealing— we think little ones will particularly love the fairy mousemother. The story is elegantly told by the two puppeteers, who also provide charming voices for all the characters. One brilliant scene involves fairy mice acrobats, tumblers and dancers performing at the palace ball.
The theatre’s show Fantastic Mr Fox has already sold out so make sure to book tickets for Cindermouse as soon as possible!
