The best London restaurants to eat at with children
Where brilliant foodcentric restaurants and eating out with children really works
Mark Hix’s huge Shoreditch restaurant is not too cool for kids. They'll be fascinated by the artwork (unless they're vegetarian, in whch case keep well away). Besides, Hix has campaigned for better food in restaurants for children and sticks to his principles offering the same impeccably sourced produce on both adult and kids menus.
Sustainably sourced fish fingers and chips with mushy pies are superior indeed. There are both adult and kid's takes on the buttermilk posh chicken burger, mini dry-aged steaks and Peruvian Gold chocolate mousse to finish. Children eat free between 4pm-6pm during the week and at weekends 12pm-6pm.
Better still, the kid's menu has plenty of mazes and quizes, and a design your dish competition to win a £50 Hix voucher.
