The Michelin pub of the year 2017 The Marksman in Hackney, close to Columbia Flower Market is run by two former St John chefs Jon Rotheram and Tom Harris.
They are now hosting a series of Cookbook Dinners inviting really high profile chefs to cook one-off dinners from a recipe book of their choice. They’ve had Angela Hartnett, Nuno Mendes and Nathan Outlaw to name a few...
The next dinner will be Doug McMasters cooking a menu from The Futurist Cookbook, by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, hosting the evening with Tom Harris and Jon Rotheram. Doug is the founder of Silo, the UK's first zero-waste restaurant in Brighton desgined from back to front, with the bin always in mind, as well as the Executive Chef of CUB in Hoxton. He's worked at St John, The Fat Duck and Noma as well as restaurants in Australia.
