London's best park cafés
The edible pleasures of the London park
Inspired by their training with Skye Gyngell at Petersham Nurseries & Spring, Annabel Partridge and Will Burrell's emphasis on seasonal, beautifully sourced produce sings through whether with breakfast of fig and ricotta toast, brilliant salads such as chickpea and grilled courgette with tahini sauce, or smashed avocado on toast elevated to something rather special with radishes, feta and watermelon.
The burgers are superb, choose from: beef with chipotle chilli, Lincolnshire Poacher cheese, garlic aioli; black crisp cod with housemade thousand island dressing; or jackfruit with aquafaba mayo, red cabbage, fennel and cashew slaw. The sweet potato fries with harissa mayo are incredibly moreish.
Each evening, there is a different special dish whether moules marinieres, steak frites or fish and chips. Live jazz on Wednesday evenings adds to the allure of dining by Battersea Park's boating lake.
There's a hatch for sandwiches, cakes and Jude's ice-creams too.
