London's best park cafés
The edible pleasures of the London park
William Morris was one of Britain's greatest textile designers of the Arts and Crafts movement, and his work is displayed in his Georgian family home in Walthamstow. After a leisurely wander, stop in the orangery-style cafe with its all bare-bones décor, pitched glass roof and semi-sheer blinds decorated in Morris' signature floral motifs.
Sausage rolls and quiches, carrot cakes and custard tarts are supplied by small local producers such as Walthamstow's Crumbs bakery. There's a small terrace for surveying the park.
