Christmas foodie events to book in London
Christmas is synonymous with food and feasting, but who wants to start the crackers and turkey too soon? We'd rather be making snaps, taking saunas, getting all pre-Revolutionary Russian with, or skating on top of a carpark with fondue at the ready. Mind the gap. Not quite the Orient Express dining car, yet far more fun and Poirot will not be pointing the finger at you. Join a 5 course feast in a decommissioned original Victoria Line London Underground carriage courtesy of The Underground Supper Club, who else.
Chef Alex Cooper is an obsessive locavore so as many ingredients as possible will be sourced within 15 miles of dinner. Kiss goodbye to dry turkey. Salivate over Beetroot & Archangel cured salmon, roast hazelnuts, spiced honey and camomile syrup, pork belly, mulled wine sorbet and leave room for Calvados custard with apple frangipane tart.
