Sri Lanka is one of the most talked about culinary destinations right now. Whilst we'd love to be booking our flights to visit for Singhalese New Year, chef collective Sri Lanka Paradise are making it easy (and considerably cheaper) to get a taste of what makes the cuisine so vibrant and varied way beyond hoppers. We love their twist on the traditional: beetroot string hoppers and kiri hodi made with white rice vermicelli noodles, vegetables, coconut gravy and Maldive fish.
Drawing on family recipes, street stalls from Colombo to Jaffna and coffee shops, the menu for the two night pop-up showcases curries with an array of different spices, from sticky devilled Bentota draws to slow cooked Negabo beery curry. For dessert, Paradise will serve a selection, including a salted cashew and ketchup treacle mini magnums!
The Brother Marcus boys will be on hand to serve their specially created drinks list, using the local’s favourite drink, Arrack, shipped directly from Colombo, as well as their signature Brother Marcus Espresso Martini.Price: £35.00
