Vamos Cuba! Peacock Theatre

The high energy production Vamos Cuba! returns to London with an intoxicating mix of traditional and modern Cuban dance styles including salsa, rumba, cha-cha-cha and reggaeton.

Vamos Cuba! (Let’s Go Cuba!) embodies the vibrant country’s impassioned spirit.

The dancing takes place in the crazy chaos of Havana airport, where families wait to say fond farewells before being parted, while lovers look forward to being reunited. Arrival at the airport might be the moment these passengers’ adventures begin or herald the end of their escapade for now.

One thing is for sure though – time simply flies when you are having fun!

Created by the terpsichorean team who delighted dance fans worldwide with the exuberant smash-hit Havana Rakatan (which enjoyed an astonishing six seasons showing in London’s West End), Vamos Cuba! boasts a live band led by Rodney Barreto, and a cast of the hottest dancers Cuba has to offer.

Acclaimed choreographer and director Nilda Guerra is tasked with evoking all the joyous zeal and lively humour of Cuban life in this production.

Now an internationally established artist, Guerra began her professional career in 1993 as a dancer at Havana’s Teatro Lírico. She founded Ballet Rakatan, one of Cuba’s most prestigious dance companies, in 2001.
