Why go? The Summer Exhibition is the highlight of the year for new artists in London, as it has been for an astonishing 250 years. In 2018, a special anniversary year, Grayson Perry takes the helm as the curator.
What happened last year? Curated by painter and printmaker Eileen Cooper, works by Tracey Emin, Cornelia Parker, Wolfgang Tillmans, Anish Kapoor and Phyllida Barlow were displayed alongside amateur painters.
