London's best events in 2018
London life: exciting, unpredictable, growing bigger and more ridiculous every year. 2018 isn't short of fun, celebration and incredible celebrity appearances. Put these dates in your diary: it might be months in advance but you'll thank us when they all sell out.
Why go? Five days in May that have been celebrated since 1912, the Royal Horticultural Society's flower show attracts a surprising celebrity audience. Perennially Instagrammable, expect beauty and gentle rebellion. Past events of note have featured a garden in the air (2011) and a controversial winning sand dune (1993) that 'wasn't a garden'. Tickets for 2018 are already on sale.
What happened last year? James Basson won Garden of the Year with the M&G garden, which evoked a Maltese quarry, and everyone went wild for Manoj Malde’s Beneath A Mexican Sky garden.
