With prices starting as low as £50, The Other Art Fair, London, offers both amateur and seasoned collectors an unparalleled opportunity to discover new talent at affordable prices. To mark its 30th edition, The Other Art Fair, London, launches a second site, The College, Central St Martins, entirely dedicated to women artists.
Curated by arts broadcaster and curator of Soho House Collections Kate Bryan, Not 30% is part exhibition and part protest against the male dominated art world. Although 60% of art graduates are women, only about 30% of artists represented by blue-chip galleries are female. Taxidermist Elle Kaye; Mila Morton, who specialises in monochrome oil and ink paintings; and Samira Addo, winner of the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2018, are among the emerging female artists on display.
But the The Other Art Fair is more than just a trade show. There's a stellar events programme, too, from talks & tours hosted by Saatchi Art to an immersive installation from guest artists The Connor Brothers.
If you're struggling to navigate London's art fairs, trust us that this one is worth the hype: great art at a small price, without the industry bluster. Nothing quite beats the artist telling you about the piece themselves.
