This winter, Shoplifting comes to the Lawrence Alkin gallery. The show features some of the most frequently shop-stolen items in the UK, including caviar and Champagne and toxic chemicals. Household items such as Bovril, Heinz Baked Beans and Bird's Custard are familiar to us, each replicated in felt and stitched by the artist herself.
"Felt as a medium is non-confrontational but I have found that it seems to spark conversation because it is a more approachable and brings up often difficult subjects in an easier way," Sparrow has explained.
Shoplifting is open now and is suitable for all ages.
