Inspired by Kevin Spacey's removal from All the Money in the World, the Ordeal by Innocence producers made the decision to re-shoot the murder-mystery series with a new actor replacing Westwick.
Over 35 scenes were re-shot in 12 days, with Christian Cooke stepping into Westwick's shoes. Cooke is joined by Bill Nighy as the eccentric amateur Egyptologist Leo Argyll, whose wife Rachel (Anna Chancellor) is brutally murdered. Eleonor Tomlinson (Poldark) and Anthony Boyle (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) also star.
Ordeal by Innocence, based on the 1958 novel, is the third Agatha Christie story to be adapted for the BBC by screenwriter Sarah Phelps following And Then There Were None and The Witness for the Prosecution.
