They will be joined by Andrew Scott, who is famous for his role in Sherlock and also hot off another Shakespearian stage as his role of Hamlet comes to an end. Among the cast is Christopher Eccleston (The Leftovers).
King Lear is thought to be set in the fictional present and will be broadcast on BBC Two in 2017. The TV show is lead by Richard Eyre – the director best known for Notes on a Scandal.
