Alias Grace, Netflix

Following the huge success of the adaptation of Atwood's feminist dystopian novel The Handmaid's Tale on the American streaming service Hulu and its subsequent arrival on Channel 4, Netflix has jumped on to the Atwood bandwagon with the announcement of its own miniseries based on Atwood's 1996 novel Alias Grace.

Rupert Grint, Lindsay Lohan and Nick Frost star in Sick Note

Sick Note, the new comedy coming to Sky One and Sky Atlantic this autumn, stars Rupert Grint, aka Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter movies, Nick Frost of Hot Fuzz fame and, in season two, Lindsay Lohan. This six-part series follows Daniel Glass, an insurance rep who hates his boss and his girlfriend, and lies compulsively.

The Crown season 2, Netflix

The Crown season one was the most expensive TV series ever made. It was a run-away success for the streaming network Netflix which spent £100 million (£100 million!) on the drama chronicling the early lives of the Royal Family. Season two, which follows the real-life story of the Queen and her family members in the 60s, will feature Claire Foy and Matt Smith (who return to play the Queen and Prince Phillip) and will likely star Michael C. Hall and Jodi Balfour as President Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy.
