How to celebrate Pride in London: 2020 dates, times and events
Pride Month is upon us once more. While the annual parade has been cancelled, and other public events are taking place in the virtual sphere, you can still expect to see fabulously colourful outfits, bold make-up and most importantly, a celebration of diversity and LGBTQ+ rights – if only on Zoom.
Whether you’re taking part in events as a member of the LGBTQ+ community or just want to show your support, here's how to celebrate Pride in London 2020.
UK Black Pride was founded in 2006 when Lady Phyll and a busload of queer Black women descended on Southend-on-Sea to celebrate their identity. Since then, the event has become an annual, free-to-attend celebration for LGBTQ people of colour. Ordinarily, thousands descend on a London park for a day of entertainment, panel discussions, interactive performances and more. But like all Pride events, UK Black Pride is taking place in the virtual sphere this year.
