This Anti-Valentine extravaganza forms part of Vault Festival 2018, an eight-week exhibit of innovative shows to surprise and delight. And the labyrinthine underground performance space that hosts the event, The Vaults, will be decked out especially for an evening of debauchery and hedonism.
The party promises to take singles far from cosy film nights with friends or lonesome evenings with a bottle of wine à la Bridget Jones. While restaurants across town brim with couples flocking to their oh-so-romantic candlelit dinners, dip below street-level to find a bold celebration of lost love and long-forgotten lovers.
Wander between three different rooms to find a mixture of head-spinning entertainment. Enter The Pleasure Palace to witness cabaret and circus performances, and venture into the Den of Iniquity to find roaming illusionists, interactive sensory games and face and body painting galore. If that’s not enough, explore the Life Drawing Salon where models pose their way around the room.
The liquor of choice? Absinthe, of course. And to accompany it all, allow beguiling gypsy folk and brass bands set the tone so you can dance the night away – solo, with pals or perhaps even with new-found loves.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Bleeding Heart Ball awaits.
