The London Design Festival districts you simply have to visit
LDF 2017 is finally upon us: the biggest design event of the year, where London shines as the design capital of the world. Every year it's a thrill, but it's also fairly overwhelming.
There are hundreds upon hundreds of events to choose between all happening within the nine official districts over the capital: Brompton, Chelsea, Islington, Clerkenwell, Shoreditch, Brixton, Mayfair, Pimlico Road and Bankside.
While the major highlights are a must, there are a great many smaller local events too that shouldn't be missed. Click through our gallery for your essential guide to each LDF district
Unsurprisingly, the far end of Chelsea's King's Road is another LDF hotspot, with all its design showrooms vying for attention. As ever, it's a flurry of activity.
This year, the theme of the Chelsea Design Quarter is 'Elements'. Every Chelsea showroom is overbrimming with themed events, talks, and workshops, so it'll be a mission to attend them all.
How to design the perfect bathroom at Waterworks (20 Sept 4.30pm) gets our vote, as does the exhibition, 100 Years of Roca, 100 Years of Design, at Roca London Gallery. Given how much we loved last year's exhibition, Soak, Steam, Dream: Reinventing Bathing Culture, we have high hopes.
