If you make it to 38 Dover Street to see Giorgio Morandi at Robilant & Voena, head upstairs to Stair Sainty Gallery, where you can catch an exhibition showcasing a bronze of Edgar Degas’s, Little Dancer Aged Fourteen.
This exhibition follows the recent publication of a monograph on the work by art historian Dr. Gregory Hedberg. Hedberg argues that the bronzes, known to museum visitors around the world, from the Tate London and the Metropolitan Museum New York to the Musée d’Orsay, Paris, actually represent Degas’s reworking of the original sculpture, as it appeared at the 1881 Impressionist Exhibition.
