The best gallery exhibitions on now in London: your week in art
In the art world, the first week of July is Classic Week. During this week, London's celebrated auction houses, Christie's and Sotheby's, hold their major Old Master Sales, while Masterpiece London, the must-attend event of the summer art fair season, and London Art Week are the talk of the town amongst the city's eminent dealers.
London Art Week celebrates an array of exceptional art spanning seven millennia. Hosted across more than forty of the capital's most notable galleries, as well as three leading auction houses, London Art Week offers an eye-opening opportunity to explore, enjoy and discover world-class art and exhibitions in the heart of London.

Comprised of paintings, drawings, prints, ceramics and film, this exhibition presents the character and spirit of Spain alongside its craggier mythology; toreador meets minotaur. Given most of the works come from private collections, it's a great opportunity to scope them out before they, once again, disappear from public view.
