Diana Henry says this is the most personal of her books. It's certainly the most anecdotal. The story of how she came to appreciate fresh peaches served in wine in Italy is so vivid it's almost possible to taste those exquisite flavours.
The language, honesty and humour of Henry's prose make it a perfect bed-time read. But do give the recipes a go, as they simply demand to be tried. This is not the sort of book that only has three dishes you'll ever make.
