We love podcasts. They're something to listen to when your stuck on a dark train, something to fall asleep to when you need a screen break, a murder investigation to haunt you when you need a thrill, and a whole series of intelligent people talking to each other in your ear.

Start with 'Papa, We're in Syria', in which a desperate father begs his two sons to return to Germany. This gripping episode won 'Best European Radio Documentary'. The rest of the tales are arresting, sad, fascinating real-life stories. Need more convincing? One online reviewer called it 'Genuinely one of the best ideas ever crafted for audio. And it's visual.'
