Fortnum & Mason is hosting a series of fun family events over three days in the spooky spirit of Halloween. Joining in, is the Parlour on the First Floor, which will be serving a variety of pumpkin-flavoured treats. Here is everything you need to know about arguably the UK's most glamorous eating establishment and what your children can get up to this half term:
Dry Ice Craft Event: 27/28 October, 11:30
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Fortnum & Mason is hosting terrifying theatrical Halloween-themed demonstrations involving dry ice and cauldrons. Children can make their own bubble bombs, hear metal scream and even get to make their own slime.
Children’s Lantern Decorating: 27/28 October, 14:30
Little trick-or-treaters can decorate two scary Ghost and Pumpkin lanterns to prepare for Halloween and ensure that their haunted houses look suitable scary. With jar decorating activities and hand decorating Ghost and Pumpkin Lanterns, this is great for little witches and wizards.
Children’s Pumpkin Decopatch: 27/28 October, 16:00
For very little monsters, Paper maché pumpkin making at Fortnum & Mason maybe just the thing. Halloween papers and the Decoupage layering technique the children will be able to decorate their own unique pumpkin for Halloween.
Pumpkin Carving Competition: 29 October, 11:00
Kids up to age 10 can show their creativity by designing their own spooky pumpkins. Contestants have the chance to win a 1kg jar of sweets or a Wicked Wicker Hamper.
These events are suitable for children from ages 5+
