What happens when a husky and a polar bear become best friends? Uncover the true story with Breaking the Ice, an interactive show inspired by a touching true tale of unlikely companionship that scientists have observed in the animal kingdom.
The Unicorn Theatre is kicking off its autumn season with an arctic adventure where children aged 2-5 will be part of Team Polar bear or Team Husky, joining the performers onstage and learning how to slink like animals through the snow.
The show will be set to the thundering sounds of Torgeir Vassvik’s orchestra, along with throaty chanting popularised by traditional Sami folk music. When composing the music for Breaking the Ice, Vassvik drew inspiration from his Norwegian heritage, recreating sounds from the natural world with a diverse array of instruments.
Suitable for ages 2-5
