Green-fingered kids can create their own temporary garden this summer with a free drop-in Workshop at the Royal Academy.
Inspired by the horticulture of Green Park, this hand-on session encourages children to design and plant their own miniature masterpieces, which can be taken away at the end of the day, along with some seeds to grow at home. To compliment these creative activities there will be plenty of insights from Michael Holland, Head of Education at the oasis that is Chelsea Physic Garden. While children are busy planting and pruning, parents can also pick up some tips and learn how to help the garden thrive.
Note: there's no booking for this workshop, simply pop in and pick up a trowel. It's worth arriving early to guarantee a space.
