Ten restaurants turning up the culinary heat in Peckham in 2018
Exceptional coffee, awesome roasts, authentic Thai and irresistible South African brai bread: why Peckham is South East London's culinary nirvana
Pretty, laid back pub with backstreet cinema club showing art movies and really good live jazz. The Montpelier prides itself on serving food locally sourced wherever possible which means using Gill Wing Farm and Flock and Herd for their meat, plus veg from their neighbour's allotment!
Vibrant flavours and ingredients in tune with the seasons translate into dishes including roast beetroot, blood orange and goat's curd salad, stilton sourdough balls, roast porchetta with Jersey royals, salsa verde and Swiss chard, and excellent beer battered hake fish and hand-cut chips. The 45 day-aged on-the-bone beef sirloin to share is a joy too.
The kind of neighbourhood pub everyone hankers after.
