During the evening, members will learn about the importance of loose leaf tea, and how to distinguish its tastes and aromas from the unethically produced tea our high streets are sadly replete with. Alongside sustainability, the masterclass will reveal where the best tea is grown, how it is produced, and how provenance impacts on flavour.
An extensive tasting will invite members to try a selection of loose leaf, single estate teas including black, oolong, green, white, herbal and earl grey.
At Good & Proper Tea's Tea Bar on Leather Lane, members will eat sourdough crumpets. London Borough of Jam is excited to collaborate on the event with Good & Proper Tea – providing Earl Grey and raspberry jam to spread on their in-house-made sourdough crumpets.
Members will also learn how to brew tea at home, and at the end of the tasting teas and tea ware will be available at 20% off store price, exclusively for members.
Fourteen Culture Whisper members are invited to attend, and plus-ones are welcome. Event runs from 7.00pm on Tuesday June 13th at Good & Proper Tea, 96A Leather Lane EC1N 7TX.
