Pop Brixton food hub has been the proud host of Kricket for the last year. Serving up small Indian sharing plates and paired cocktails, this tiny 20 cover restaurant is opening its second home in Soho.
Though prices are small, the Soho branch will be bigger and bolder than the first instalment, though we daren't say better given how great the food already is.
Small plates are great for sharing, so chow down on Clove Smoked Wood Pidgeon, Hake, Crab Meen Moiliee or Hyderabad Baby Aubergine. For dessert, theres Gulab Jamun, a traditional take on the crumble, served with carom seed topping, pistachio and clotted cream ice cream.
Drinks-wise, Bhai Apple Cider is the best that Mumbai has to offer while a range of cocktails add colour to the menu. There's the Yellow Fairy, made with gin, absinthe, turmeric and egg white, or our other favourite, Plummaharaja, made with cardamom vodka, calvados, plum and ginger.
