The London Gin Club at The Star At Night
From being the mainstay of mums everywhere, gin is now one of the most popular drinks for whiling away an evening.
A thousand bars claim to serve the best G&Ts or mix the most exciting cocktails. We think you should check out the London Gin Club before you make up your mind.
The London Gin club Soho
Taking over the small Soho pub The Star At Night from Tuesdays to Saturdays, the LGC, as it’s known to friends, is fantastic. As well as boasting 130 different gins, it’s the service—from knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff—that really makes it worthwhile.
If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by the choice (we can’t blame you), try their tasting menus. Ranging from £23 to £26, these offer you four gins with carefully selected garnish—more than just a sad-looking slice of lemon—to mix with Fever Tree tonic as you like. We can also vouch for the fact that, after that much gin, you might want to try some of the snacks they have.
The London Gin club: book a table
Unsurprisingly, this place gets busy—fast. Call in advance to book a table, but they don’t accept bookings after 8.30pm, so we suggest you get there early and settle in for the night. They’re open from 6pm until 11pm Tuesday to Saturday. The London Gin Club: Book a table here.
