This weekend sees the second of A Taste’s events at Startisans and, following the success of last month’s four-course extravaganza, this time Chris Jordan and Samantha Harvey, the Australian chefs behind A Taste, are holding an informal pop-up brunch. Their approach to dining bears the hallmarks of a laid-back Antipodean attitude; expect to rub shoulders with your fellow food lovers on their communal tables, and you are even encouraged to bring your own bottle, corkage waved.
The food, however, is anything but casual, with dishes including gin-cured salmon and an intriguing herbal basil meringue. The event is billed as classic British food with a twist, and the duo proudly assert that this is the first ever pop-up Michelin level Sunday brunch to grace London’s tables. If you have time, we suggest that you take a look around the rest of what the Startisans market has to offer, as their fare is usually both innovative and delicious.
