Pop-up events London
‘One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well,’ wrote Virginia Woolf.
Lovers of both food and literature who agree will be tickled to hear that Caiger & Co, fresh from their successful Christmas pop-up in Borough Market, are hosting a supper club at the Bush Theatre with a literary themed menu.
Quirky restaurants in London
Inspiration for the three main courses comes from three different novels: the heartlessly calm muffin munching in Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, the fantastical images of J K Rowling’s Honeydukes sweetshop in Harry Potter and (perhaps a little dismally) Beatrice Potter’s famous four little rabbits, Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail and Peter.
Come eat delicious – albeit slightly morbid – food surrounded by dusty bookshelves, other lovers of literature and the spirit of the thespians that have walked the halls of the Bush Theatre.
They will also be running a bar on the evening with literary themed cocktails - all for two nights only.
Whats on at the Bush Theatre
Currently on in the Bush Theatre is the tax-avoidance inspired, Bouffon-esque comedy: Caroline Horton’s Islands. Read our review of the play here. The play will come to an end on 21st February, but we're very excited about the up and coming show The Royale, dealing with racism in American boxing.
