Looking for Dryathlon participating restaurants? Or an alcohol-free London bar, to while away the January chills with a stylish mocktail in hand?
As we approach the halfway point in January, those of us trying to shake of those festive excesses by partaking in the increasingly popular 'dry January' might be in need of some inspiration as we head into the last two weeks. If you're looking for fun things to do in dry January, in London, we might just have the perfect place.
The team behind wildly popular alcohol-free pop-up bar Redemption are back, with a residency throughout January at Holborn's Fairly Square fair-trade bar, in conjunction with Cancer Research UK's 'Dryathlon'. A 'dry January' London bar with a difference, fresh (and we mean fresh) from residencies in Hackney and Portobello Road, Redemption are bringing their mouthwatering line-up of raw, vegetarian and vegan plates, featuring everything from spinach and almond gazpacho to zucchini pasta and mushroom and cashew barley risotto, and they're keen to show you can 'have a night off, without having a night in'. They've even brought their raw foodie touch to the desserts, with tempting offerings that include a delectable sounding cashew, coconut and lemon cream 'cheesecake' with medjool date base.
To complement their dining menu, the Redemption team are serving up a perfectly-crafted selection of mocktails, including a coconut water-based agave 'margarita' and a home-made beetroot juice beet-o-tini. Best of all, if you're a Dryathlon participant, you can get your hands on a mocktail on the house.
