The on-trend interiors are muted grey with natural stone finishes and Instagrammable touches. One side of the room is dominated by the bar, the other filled with dining tables. We went along to try to the newly-launched spring menu on a Thursday evening and there were hives of people catching up over cocktails or grabbing supper. As it's loud and lively, this is a spot for group dinners rather than romantic dates.
The menu spans brunch, lighter lunch options and pub grub classics – but it's the variety and innovative touches that take the meal from satisfying to memorable. Instead of standard fish and chips, there's grilled sea bass with pea hummus instead of mushy peas; alongside the typical ceasar salad is a coconut-poached chicken salad with zesty strips of pear. Fishcakes are actually spicy crab cakes with a fragrant herb mayo and perfect crispiness.
Oh, and a word from the wise: the white chocolate crème brulée with passion fruit (pictured above) is far too good to share!
