Christmas foodie events to book in London
Christmas is synonymous with food and feasting, but who wants to start the crackers and turkey too soon? We'd rather be making snaps, taking saunas, getting all pre-Revolutionary Russian with, or skating on top of a carpark with fondue at the ready. Here's our guide to where to have the most luxe and unusual festive foodie fun without the t-word (unless it is tikka style).
Kinovino
Interlacing cinema, history and immersive dining, KinoVino at Pushkin House is a nostalgic one-off immersive event that will transport us to the Russia of the late 1910s and explore the era through its food, music and film.
There's a vintage gramophone performance from renowned eccentric, Moscow-based DJ and performer Anton Borisovich, vodka cocktails and a menu inspired by the recipes of the pre-Revolutionary era. All this whilst settling down for a screening of Soviet period drama A Slave of Love, an elegiac homage to the silent era of movie making.
