Burberry is moving its existing Knightsbridge shop to a new 15,000 square foot flagship for men and women. The store will be right in the heart of Knightsbridge, on a new development in the centre known as K1. Find it just a slipper's throw away from Harvey Nicks and right above the tube station.
The last Burberry flagship was opened in Regent Street in 2012. We'll have to wait a few months for this new store to open its doors to the eager public.
The Regent Street store is high-tech and shopping there is a multi media, modern experience. The brand still employed British craftsmen and cabinet makers to enhance the Grade II listed space. Let's hope for something similarly ambitious and beautiful for Sloane Street.
The announcement comes just as Burberry prepare their London Fashion Week photography exhibition. It looks like the British brand will be hogging the limelight for most of September.
