This autumn the Design Museum are jumping on the bicycle revolution with a brand new exhibition that looks at the radical design and innovation behind Britain's favourite pastime. So whether you're Bradley Wiggins or Chris Froome, or just an avid cycling fan - this is a delightful design exhibition to inspire you to get on your bike.

What to expect at the Design Museum London

Bringing together an array of cycling paraphernalia alongside film, photography, interviews and events, this Design Museum exhibition considers four ‘tribes’ of cyclists: High Performers who cycle competitively; Thrill Seekers who confront challenging terrain; Urban Riders who cycle across cities; and Cargo Bikers whose trade depends on their transport. So which are you?

Each group is represented by keen cyclists who select their preferred models, outfits, accessories, and lifestyle choices. Star names, such as Sir Paul Smith, also feature and tell their personal cycling stories. The exhibition then contemplates the future of cycling, and its influence over urban development.

Highlights

On Saturday 24 October, don't miss the procession of bicycles that will travel through the capital to kick off the show. With over 50 riders, we’ll witness the earliest models like the original Dandy Charger through to the most cutting-edge models on the streets of London.

Other highlights include a large-scale recreation of a bike workshop, a pop-up cycling café, and a programme of events to complement the exhibition – all urging us to join the #CycleRevolution!
