Step inside St. James’ Church in Piccadilly for a candle-lit performance by London’s newest chamber orchestra, the Piccadilly Sinfonietta. This orchestra, featuring some of the country’s finest young musicians, will be joined by the renowned violinist Harriet Mackenzie. Together they will perform classics, including ‘Winter’ from Vivaldi’s ‘The Four Seasons.’
The show also features a performance from soprano Susan Parkes, who will sing a rendition of ‘Lascia ch’io pianga’ – the renowned aria by composer George Frideric Handel.
Finally, British pianist Warren Mailley-Smith will perform Bach’s Piano Concerto in D minor. A favourite of the Royal Family, Mailley-Smith is famous for his ability to perform the complete solo works of Frederick Chopin entirely from memory.
Come out of the cold and feel yourself warmed by what
promises to be a magical night of music.
