Stephen Hough is not only a thrilling pianist but also a composer in his own right, and his collaboration with the exquisite singers of the Prince Consort has yielded a catalogue of lovely part-songs. New at this concert, featuring both the six-voice ensemble and Hough at the piano is Dappled Things, the title inspired by the poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins. Also sung are Herbstlieder, Three Grave Songs and Other Love Songs.
